French Antique 19th Century Limestone Slab

A French antique limestone slab from the 19th century, round, just over four feet across and a full 6 1/4 inches thick. It is offered as the slab only, without a base. We have not yet photographed the surface closely enough to describe its color or markings, so we will say only what we know: old French limestone, cut as a circle, with the weathering and softened edges of a slab of this age.

It measures 48 1/2 inches in diameter and 6 1/4 inches high. It is heavy and is set by machine.

On an iron frame or a pair of stone piers it makes a round stone table for six under a pergola; set flush in gravel it becomes a landing or a plinth. The limestone slab is in our yard in Marina Del Rey; ask us for photographs and the weight, and we will quote it delivered.
