Antique French Limestone Trough SKU: TR 3056 - FC105.NO is a long stone vessel that brings a continuous stretch of raw rock to an outdoor space. The deeply gouged exterior sides introduce a bold, heavily weathered profile.

A palette of pale bone, ash gray, and scattered charcoal tones washes across the surface of the antique stone. Heavy chipping and deep vertical marks cover the thick exterior walls. Inside, the gently sloped floor offers a smoother surface that rises to meet the highly irregular, eroded top rim.

Placed flush against a brick retaining wall, the long stone vessel acts as a quiet linear water feature. The interior easily catches a continuous sheet of water when installed below a series of bronze scuppers. This carved block also functions beautifully as a rustic, open-air wash basin on a covered patio.

The coarse trough sits beautifully next to the smooth finish of hand-troweled exterior plaster. Resting the trough on large, tumbled limestone pavers naturally draws out the cooler gray tones hidden inside the rock. Flanking the piece with weathered steel panels highlights the jagged, broken profile of the carved block.
