The pale stone face is defined environmental weathering, resulting in a highly coarse, scoured surface across all four sides. This rough exterior is thickly coated with dark charcoal water stains, patches of vibrant green moss, and bright golden lichen that clings to the porous stone. A weathered metal pipe protrudes securely from the lower half of one short end.

The broad top edge remains thick and structural, even with its highly irregular, uneven wear. A deliberate, square notch is carved directly into the rim on one side to actively manage water overflow. Dropping past this edge, the steep interior walls form a deeply hollowed basin. The inner stone is darkened by constant moisture, providing a direct contrast to the grey, green, and gold tones of the outer walls.

Setting this deep basin in a garden or courtyard creates a high-volume water feature, utilizing the existing pipe and overflow notch for practical water movement. Positioning the overgrown, heavily stained rock against crisp architectural lines or polished paving further makes it stand out, introducing a heavily textured, organic element into a clean, finished space.
