Limestone Fountain

The FT 28 Limestone Fountain is a substantial central fountain defined by a wide octagonal basin and a tall, architectural column. The basin is built from heavy stone segments, featuring a thick, moulded rim with a rounded profile that gives the low wall significant visual weight. Rising from the center is a square pillar with recessed, framed panels on its faces, capped by a stepped cornice and a classic stone sphere finial.

The limestone presents a soft palette of bone, warm beige, and faint grey. The surface is matte and weathered, showing natural variations in grain that prevent the large flat surfaces from looking uniform or manufactured. Carved lion heads are centered within the panels on the column, serving as the water spouts.

This fountain is built to anchor large open spaces like motor courts or formal gardens. At over 8 feet wide, the basin creates an expansive reservoir that catches the water streams from the lion masks. Clean geometry and classical moulding establish a solid, permanent structure in the landscape.
