Antique French Limestone Trough SKU: FD118-07 is a thick, rectangular block defined by intense surface coloration and severe weathering. A dense layer of dark charcoal and black organic staining coats the deeply pitted exterior walls. Scattered across this dark, rugged background are vivid spots of rust-orange lichen and mineral deposits. The dark outer surface breaks at a chipped, uneven rim, revealing a pale beige interior basin marked by sweeping, diagonal tooling lines across the floor.

Placed against a garden wall, the deep interior easily contains a continuous flow from a heavy bronze water spout. Sunk partially into a paved terrace, the heavy stone operates directly as a rustic, ground-level catchment basin. This weathered stone also serves beautifully as an elegant, open-air garden basin for rinsing fresh-cut flowers.

The dark, heavily stained stone provides a strong material contrast when positioned against smooth white stucco walls. Resting the thick block on warm terracotta tiles immediately highlights the bright orange lichen scattered across the exterior. Flanking the trough with pale, slender ornamental grasses emphasizes the deep charcoal and black organic staining coating the outer walls.
