Product Description
French Antique 19th Century Limestone Trough SKU: TR 8020_FG101.A features a sun-washed palette of wheat-beige and pale gray, warmed by honeyed ochre mineral traces and shadows of soft moss staining. A rusted iron ring is pinned to the front wall, providing a dark metal contrast that marks the stone's 19th-century history.
The exterior faces are rugged and granular, with blunt corners and a surface that has rounded from decades of outdoor exposure. The interior basin shows a hand-worked texture with shallow undulations that catch reflections when filled with water. One end of the piece features a jagged, raw stone break, revealing the dense, heavy internal layers of the limestone.
Set this trough along a garden path or against a terrace wall to add a heavy, architectural line to the space. The narrow profile makes it a practical choice for a linear herb garden or a low-water feature that stays out of the way of foot traffic. It fills a plain area with a salvaged stone texture, giving the landscape a sense of age and permanence.
