Antique French Limestone Trough SKU: TR 199 - FC105.MY is a stout rectangular vessel. A heavy layer of dark charcoal and mossy green tones covers the highly pitted outside surface. The dark exterior breaks at the top rim, revealing a pale beige and chalky white inner basin. A single, circular drainage hole pierces the lower section of the front face.

Placed beneath a wall-mounted copper spout, the deep interior easily contains a high-volume water flow. Sunk partially into a courtyard floor, the heavy limestone serves as a robust catchment for a bubbling fountain. This piece also operates effectively as an open-air wash sink.

The heavily textured stone provides a strong material contrast when positioned against modern glass panels. Resting the trough on light granite gravel immediately highlights the rich dark coloring coating the outer edges. Flanking the vessel with slender ornamental grasses emphasizes its thick, compact shape.
