Product Description
The French Antique 19th Century Limestone Trough SKU: TR 6109_FG101.Y is a single, massive block of stone with two parallel channels. The limestone is a weathered ash-grey, marked by deep graphite staining and bright patches of rust-gold lichen on the exterior. Heavy iron rings are bolted into the short ends, providing a dark, rusted contrast to the pale stone.
The two interior basins are separated by a thick, integrated stone spine that runs the full length of the piece. Each channel is scooped and shallow, featuring a grainy, hand-worked texture. The outer walls are blocky and rough, with blunt, battered corners that show the stone’s 19th-century age.
Place this trough in the center of a courtyard or use it to define the edge of a terrace. The double-basin design allows for a running water feature on one side and a planting area on the other within the same footprint. The trough provides a substantial, permanent centerpiece that fills the space with a single, high-impact material. Setting this piece immediately transforms an empty yard into an intentionally designed and fully furnished garden.
