Product Description
French Antique Mile Marker FI102-40 is a solid limestone block with a distinct, weathered character. The rounded top catches the light, while the rough, broken base holds deep shadows. A natural band of green moss stains the center, creating a permanent flash of color against the grey stone.
Deeply carved letters on the side spell "ERVY" and "24k," preserving the original route markings in the hard stone. The front face displays ghosted numerals and faded paint that have merged with the dusty beige surface. Texture shifts from the weather-smoothed upper face to the jagged, rock-faced bottom section. The surface feels cool and matte, wearing its history in every pit and curve.
Place this marker at the end of a gravel path to create a physical destination point in the garden. It stands in a foyer as a heavy, sculptural object that greets guests with its inscription. Use it in a library next to a bookshelf to contrast the paper books with stone text. In a courtyard, the marker leans against a wall to serve as a distinct, weathered artifact.
Rough lime plaster walls match the matte, earthy finish of the antique limestone. Darkened steel windows or iron hardware sharpen the look of the soft, rounded stone crown. Wide-plank oak flooring provides a warm, organic base that complements the beige and green tones in the marker.
