Antique French Limestone Trough SKU: FI101-13.O features a channeled top edge built into an extended rectangular footprint. A raised inner lip separates the main hollow from a shallow outer groove, intersected by angled spillways cut straight through the rock. The thick, rugged exterior walls display heavy diagonal striations across the entire block.

Pale chalky white and dusty beige tones define the relatively smooth interior basin. The coarse, deeply gouged exterior shifts to cooler shades of ash and slate gray. Multiple lateral drainage holes pierce the front face, while the complex upper ledge features severe chipping and jagged, irregular breaks.

Installed beneath a wide brass weir, the multi-level rim creates a dynamic, cascading water feature. Sunk flush into a grass lawn, the deep interior operates as a quiet, naturalized reflecting pool. This carved rectangular block also acts as a rugged catchment beneath an open-air garden shower.

The heavily striated exterior provides a strong textural contrast when placed against a smooth glass barrier. A foundation of dark basalt gravel immediately draws attention to the pale, dusty colors of the inner basin. Oxidized steel panels installed directly behind the trough highlight the harsh, broken cuts of the diagonal spillways.
