Product Description
A slender French antique stone wellhead of the 19th century, taller than it is wide, with a compact rounded silhouette that reads almost as a column. The limestone is the quiet gray of weathered French stone, its surface lightly open and pitted from long exposure, the rim worn to a soft edge. It is a compact piece and the easiest of our well heads to place.
It measures 19 3/4 inches in diameter and 27 1/2 inches high. The narrow footprint means it can stand where a broad piece could not: a tight courtyard, a terrace corner, the landing of a garden stair. It is heavy for its size and ships on a small pallet. Condition is as found, weathered and sound, with the surface marks of age.
Use it as a pedestal planter for trailing ivy or a single clipped box, as a low pillar beside a gate, or as the surround for a small bubbling spout among gravel and reclaimed brick. Climbing greenery nearby brings out the gray of the stone. This antique wellhead is in Marina Del Rey; see it by appointment, or ask for photographs and a quote on the stone wellhead delivered to you.
