French Antique Limestone Trough

A French antique limestone trough brings substantial old-world character to gardens, courtyards, terraces, and architectural landscapes. Its generous proportions create an impressive presence, while the naturally aged limestone gives the piece a beautifully weathered appearance that feels at home among established greenery and historic stonework. Measuring 71 inches wide, 36 inches deep, and 25 1/2 inches high, this large garden trough offers ample space for creating a dramatic planting arrangement. The inner dimensions of 62 inches wide, 26 1/2 inches deep, and 19 3/4 inches high provide a substantial planting area while maintaining the strong architectural profile of the exterior. SKU FS101-05.EM adds an authentic reclaimed quality that can bring depth and a sense of history to an outdoor setting.

The broad, grounded silhouette makes this limestone planter trough especially striking when filled with mature greenery, seasonal flowers, herbs, or sculptural plantings. Its aged stone character pairs naturally with gravel, weathered brick, reclaimed timber, wrought iron, and other traditional landscape materials, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an established French estate garden. The generous scale also allows the trough to function as a defining landscape feature rather than simply a container for plants. Soft natural variations in the limestone help the piece blend gracefully into its surroundings while retaining enough character to draw the eye. Whether positioned along a terrace, beside an entryway, or within a secluded courtyard, this antique French stone trough offers a timeless way to introduce texture, structure, and European garden charm.
