Product Description

Antique French Limestone Trough SKU: TR 160 - NA109.OT is a long rectangular block defined by a highly textured surface. Heavy patches of bright rust-orange lichen and dark charcoal staining completely blanket the upper exterior walls. A distinct, pale limestone band runs directly along the bottom edge, sharply cutting off the dark weathering just above the base. The rugged outside surface breaks at a thick rim, dropping into a bright, pale beige inner basin.


Spanning the edge of a crushed stone courtyard, the heavy block acts strictly as a low-profile boundary marker. Positioned beneath a wide sheer-descent waterfall, the long interior easily catches a continuous, heavy sheet of water. Installed alongside an outdoor dining pergola, the stretched basin accommodates multiple brass wall spouts to serve beautifully as an elegant, elongated courtyard fountain.


The trough provides a strong material contrast when positioned against flat, black steel panels. Resting the long block on smooth dark river stones highlights the stark, pale band running along its base. Flanking the trough with low, neatly clipped boxwood hedges emphasizes its straight, rectangular shape.
