Product Description
French Antique 19th Century Limestone Trough SKU: TR 8019_FG101.A is composed of heavy stone sections with a sun-bleached, bone-white surface. The limestone carries a patina of weathered ash-gray and warm sand, layered with mossy olive staining and rust-gold speckling. A single, time-worn iron ring is anchored into the front face, a dark metal detail that marks the stone's 19th-century history.
The exterior is rugged and pebbled, while the hand-cut interior basins show the soft, grainy rhythm of original chisel work. The side profile reveals exceptionally thick, dense walls and a raw, fractured base that shows the internal layers of the stone. These blunt, heavy edges catch the light across their irregular, pitted surfaces, making the stone look like an ancient, salvaged architectural piece.
Placing these sections together creates a wide, parallel water and planting feature. This setup allows you to run a cascading water feature in one channel and grow lush greenery in the other within the same footprint. This combination of heavy stone and water brings a soulful presence to the space, instantly turning an open area into an intentionally designed and fully furnished garden.
